About us

Our goal

Ons doel: bring out your inner beauty!

38 years experience

In 1983 Liselot opened the doors of Haarverzoring Liselot for the first time. And with success. The hair salon in Osdorp, Amsterdam Nieuw-West, for him and for her!

In 2007 Daniella, Liselot's daughter, took over the hair salon. And made sure that the company has grown with the times.

In 2017 Michel, Daniella's husband, completed his barbering training. He has integrated a nice barber place / corner / shop in the current shop.

Why did you become a hairstylist?

Thanks to my mother, Liselot, I came into contact with hairdressing, which suited me right away. I took a break, had Hospitality business. But still I have been pulled back to hairdressing again and again!

What do you like most about your job?

Seeing what looks best in terms of cut model, coloring and styling. To create the complete picture that fits the person in front of the mirror.
And to hear the social aspect, the interaction with people and inspiring stories.

What is your best advice for clients' hair at home?

Healthy hair starts with a healthy scalp. So having good cleaning and care products at home

Why did you become a barber?

I have been interested in hairdressing since I was with Daniella. Nevertheless, I started working in the hospitality industry and we also had a restaurant together. It was time for a change in 2015! And I decided to change my life, and knew right away: I'm going to barber school!

What do you like most about your job?

Make something beautiful with your hands and creativity! Which is appropriate for the person in the chair. As a hairdresser you get so many different people on your chair and it is great how people share their stories with me. What I also really like is that you can always expand your skills, master new techniques. And because of this you can continue to challenge yourself!

What is your best advice for clients' hair at home?

Take more often a look in the mirror of the hairdresser ;)!

Why did you become a hairstylist?

I've been interested in her from an early age! My niece had a hair salon in Rotterdam, where she did a lot with updos and bridal hairstyles. I want to do this too! I have now been in the hairdressing profession for 40 years. And it remains fun! It is a profession on the move, always different!

What do you like most about your job?

Updating and creating bridal hairstyles is what triggered me to choose the profession, but in the meantime I can say that the best part is making people happy and beautiful! It is also very nice to see that previous trends are given a new look, and so the trend periods repeat themselves.

What is your best advice for clients' hair at home?

You can best see your hair as a piece of jewelry! You want to keep this in the best status, of course. So take good care of your hair and don't wait too long to go to the hairdresser.

Why did you become a hairstylist?

I am inspired by my niece, who was already in the business! I thought it was fascinating to see what you can create with her. I want this too! And that's how I started to follow the training. Now almost 25 years later, I am still happy with this choice!

What do you like most about your job?

The social, the fun conversations and the constructive bond with the person in the chair. I like a cozy “neighborhood salon” where everyone feels welcome! Sometimes it is also nice to spar with colleagues to achieve our goal: Beautiful hair!

What is your best advice for clients' hair at home?

Get good advice on both styling and care products. There is so much on the market today. But how do you know what's good for your hair?
